Curriculum
Everything the children experience in our federation is our ‘curriculum’ – both taught and untaught. From the way they are welcomed in the mornings, the teaching of a specific subject and the enrichment opportunities we pride ourselves upon – it all serves to enable each individual child to grow and flourish. Our federation values and vision lead everything that we do. Written through our schools is the clear intent that we want all of our children to have the opportunity to ‘let their light shine’.
The curriculum is taught sequential and with consistent approaches, allowing depth of learning over stepped periods of time. Furthermore, to ensure the children can learn and know more as they progress through the foundation subjects, clear links are made both within and across wider subjects to enhance the learning experience.
High expectations are present for all, with engaging and well-resourced topics in place to encourage children to be empathetic, curious, lifelong learners. Well-established structures ensure that all learners have the opportunity to achieve and progress in their understanding.
